The Stile Tray is the key to the self-checking activities of the Key Stage 2 programme. Pupils answer the questions by simply placing each of the twelve numbered tiles on the appropriate square on the base of the tray. When all the tiles have been placed, they close the tray, turn it over, and reopen it to reveal a geometric pattern. If the answers are all correct, the pattern will match the one printed at the top of the exercise. There are many different accompanying workbooks for use with the Stile Tray, covering Literacy, Maths and Dyslexia.
This set of 6 books offers a thorough and systematic approach to the teaching of the main elements of core learning in mathematics for ages 9-11. The activities are also appropriate for older children aged 11-16 who struggle with maths. Stile’s unique self-checking mechanism makes these books suitable for use with individuals or pairs during a numeracy lesson. Stile is a highly motivating way to learn, to which children respond with enthusiasm. The books are brightly coloured, clearly laid out and appropriately illustrated throughout. Each book contains 24 pages (150 x 266mm). Stile Trays are sold separately.
